
ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland women's basketball team opens a four-game road swing beginning with a Valentine's Day game at Milwaukee on Friday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. ET and followed by Green Bay on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. ET. Both games will be broadcast live from the Klotsche Center and Kress Events Center on ESPN+.

Last time out: Kahlaijah Dean scored in double figures for the 10th straight game with 10 points while dishing a career-high eight assists.
Autumn Kissman also added 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting while connecting on her second 3-pointer of the season as Oakland saw its two-game win streak snapped with a 89-63 setback to Horizon League leader IUPUI on Saturday at the O'rena.

Blackwell repeats as Nike® Horizon League Freshman of the Week: Making her second and third career start, Blackwell native averaged 12.5 points per game shooting 9-for-23 from the field (39.1%) and 5-for-13 from 3-point range (38.5%) with three assists, three rebounds and four steals to lead Oakland to a 1-1 record for the week. Blackwell scored in double figures for the second straight game with 11 points helping Oakland to its second consecutive league win with a 63-46 decision over UIC. She followed that performance scoring in double figures for the third consecutive time posting a team-high 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field, 2-for-5 from 3-point range and 2-for-2 from the free throw line with a career-high three steals in the Oakland's set back to league leader IUPUI.

Series Breakdown: Oakland leads the overall series against Milwaukee, 12-9. Green Bay leads to overall series 10-5. Since the 2014-15 season, Oakland's five Horizon League regular season wins over Green Bay are the most for any Horizon League school over that period of time.

Big Wins: Earlier this season, Oakland went 2-0 against Green Bay and Milwaukee which marked the first time since the 2016-17 season the Golden Grizzlies got wins over both schools in consecutive games at home on the Blacktop.

Milwaukee Rewind: For the second consecutive game, the big three combination of
Autumn Kissman,
Jalisha Terry and
Kahlaijah Dean each reached double figures combining for 49 points to lead Oakland to a 78-62 win over Milwaukee on Saturday to complete the weekend sweep in Horizon League play. Kissman posted her second straight double-double with 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds while Terry added a game-high 19 points followed by Dean with 17 points.
Kayla Luchenbach also added 10 points as the win marked the first time Oakland defeated both Green Bay and Milwaukee at home since the 2016-17 season. This quartet of players also combined to grab 30 of Oakland's 38 rebounds.

A Look at Green Bay: Redshirt senior Frankie Wurtz leads Green Bay in scoring (15.4 ppg). Junior Caitlyn Hibner leads the team on the boards (6.9 rpg) while redshirt junior Meghan Pingel is tops in assists (3.0 apg).

Green Bay Rewind: Kahlaijah Dean,
Jalisha Terry and
Autumn Kissman combined for 71 points to lead Oakland to a thrilling 93-88 win over Green Bay on Thursday Night at the O'rena which snapped a four-game skid against the Phoenix. Dean scored a season and game-high 27 points with six assists followed by a career-high 25 points from Terry and first career double-double by Kissman with a career-best 19 points and 11 rebounds.

History vs Green Bay: During the 2016-17 season,
Sha'Keya Graves stole the inbounds pass and rumbled coast-to-coast converting the game-winning layup with 2.2 seconds and completed the 3-point play from the free throw line to secure Oakland's 74-71 upset win over No. 21 Green Bay on the Blacktop at the O'rena (2/2/17). The win marked Oakland's first home win over a ranked opponent since defeating No. 21 South Dakota State (1/5/09). The win also snapped the Phoenix 11-game win streak and marked the second consecutive year the Golden Grizzlies defeated Green Bay while being nationally ranked.

During the 2015-16 campaign, Oakland's 58-56 upset win at No. 22 Green Bay (1/28/16) was the program's first road win over a ranked opponent in the Division I era. The win also snapped Green Bay's league-best 14-game win streak and 16-game home win streak dating back to when the Golden Grizzlies won on (2/4/15) and marked the first time the Phoenix have lost to the same team at home in back-to-back seasons under head coach Kevin Borseth. The Golden Grizzlies completed the season sweep with a 77-69 win (3/5/16) becoming just the second team to sweep the season series over the Phoenix in league play since YSU in 2013-14.

In the 2014-15 season, Oakland's 76-70 road win (2/4/15) was the program's first win over Green Bay and also was the only loss in league play for the Phoenix.

Beatty Breaks Out: Breanne Beatty recorded her first career double-double scoring 10 points while grabbing a career-high 11 rebounds and dishing a career-high four assists in Oakland's win over UIC (2/6). She scored a career-high 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting at UIC (1/4).

Dynamic Dean Strong Off the Bench: Dean leads the team in scoring (11.9 - 8th HL) and assists (3.3 – 6
th HL) and has scored in double figures in 10 consecutive games coming off the bench. She recorded her second career double-double scoring a game-high and season second-best 22 points with 10 rebounds just missing her career mark by one board at Wright State (1/25). She scored a season-high 27 points with six assists while matching a career-best going 9-for-11 from the free throw line against Green Bay (1/9). She also scored 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting and 3-of-6 from 3-point range at St. Bonaventure.
4-Point Play: Against Detroit Mercy in the third quarter, Dean hit a 3-point bucket, was fouled in the process and made the ensuing free throw to complete the elusive 4-point play pulling Oakland within six points, 38-32.

She also matched a career-high in steals (4) in each of the last two games against UIC and IUPUI.
