The Golden Grizzlies Reading Program is designed to encourage elementary and middle school students throughout the community to develop a love of reading while connecting with Oakland University Athletics. Students who achieve their assigned reading goals will earn special rewards and recognition from the Golden Grizzlies and participating community partners.

Student Reading Goals
- Students in Pre-K through Grade 3: Five (5) grade-level appropriate books
- Students in Grade 4 & 5: Three (3) grade-level appropriate books (50 plus pages or more)
Student Rewards
Golden Grizzlies Basketball Tickets
Students who achieve their assigned reading goal will receive four (4) complimentary tickets for select Golden Grizzlies basketball games. Each ticket package admits the student and three (3) guests. Tickets will be sent digitally to the provided phone number.Â
Top Reader Award
The student who reads the most books during the program will receive special recognition at a Golden Grizzlies athletic event and a Golden Grizzlies prize pack.Â
Program Dates
Program Begins: October 2026
Program Ends: January 2027
All participating schools must register before the registration deadline to ensure timely delivery of program materials.
How to Participate

Register your school or classroom.
