Hannah Little is currently in her third season playing professionally overseas.
Current Team: Espoo Basket Team - Espoo, Finland
Past Team: Athinaikos WB Club - Athens, Greece
"I kicked off my professional career playing for Athinaikos WB Club in Athens, Greece. I took a year off to get some real-world human resource experience then I picked back up and headed to Espoo, Finland to play for the Espoo Basket Team. My second season ended short because of COVID-19 but I was offered another contract from the same club for my third season so I am back in Espoo, Finland playing for EBT."
Best on-court performance…
"In my first season with EBT, I flirted with a quadruple double posting 17 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 9 steals."
What Oakland means to her…
"Oakland is home to me and during my transfer process it was a no-brainer for me…I wanted to come home. I feel honored to have been able to be a part of the Oakland women's basketball program. It was not just about basketball for coach Tungate, he wanted to make sure we had the tools and resources to propel once basketball stopped. From retreats, to workshops, to annual alumni cookouts, I've taken away a lot of life lessons from being a part of the program! I've also have met some spectacular people along the way and my Oakland teammates have turned into lifelong friends. Being an OU alumnus is something I am proud of due to Oakland's strong sense of community and togetherness. OU is very innovative, the culture is like no other and I am proud to be a Golden Grizzly!"
Favorite memory playing overseas…
"I can't narrow down a favorite memory right now but I can say that this season, I am having the most fun. With the pandemic going on, it helps me to realize how blessed I am and every moment I am allowed to go out and do what I do, I relish in it! We are on a roll right now and playing some good basketball so I will remember this moment for the rest of my lifetime!"
