Women's Basketball Signs Sheridan Beal

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies Women's Basketball program continues a busy offseason, announcing the signing of Class of 2026 guard Sheridan Beal.

"I am thrilled to welcome Sheridan Beal to our program," said Oakland Women's Basketball Head Coach Keisha Newell. "She is a prolific three-level scorer with a quick release and a natural ability to stretch the floor. Sheridan's size at the guard position, combined with her physicality, allows her to impact the game on both ends. She brings a scoring mindset and toughness that will immediately elevate our backcourt."

Beal is a Michigan native and will stay close to home after finishing her high school career at West Bloomfield High School. A four-year varsity player for the Lakers, she surpassed 1,000 career points while dominating her senior season.

This past season, the shooting guard averaged 22.5 points per game while shooting 46% from the field, along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. She was a McDonald's All-American nominee and was on the ballot for MHSAA Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

Beal fits the Oakland system to a tee, providing elite outside shooting to a team that was already among the best shooting teams in the Horizon League last season. She also brings tenacity and defensive grit that encapsulate the mentality the Golden Grizzlies play with.
