ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland University women's basketball has announced its 2026-27 home game promotion schedule, featuring a variety of themed game days, community celebrations, special recognitions, educational experiences, giveaways and opportunities for fans to engage with the Golden Grizzlies throughout the season.
Select games will feature special prize giveaways, including iPads, cornhole boards, mini fridges, yard games, Apple Watches, gaming consoles, headphones, and more! Oakland is also seeking groups interested in tabling, performing or participating in halftime shows throughout the season.
Math Hoops Game | Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. vs. Cleary
Bring your school to the OU Credit Union O'rena for one of Oakland's biggest games of the season. Math Hoops Game will combine basketball and education, with interactive and educational content featured throughout the game. Schools are encouraged to bring students for a unique field trip experience that connects math and basketball.
What's offered: Interactive educational content throughout the game and an opportunity for schools to attend as a group.
Military Appreciation | Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. vs. Rochester Christian
Oakland will honor veterans and active-duty members of the military during Military Appreciation. The Golden Grizzlies will recognize the service and sacrifice of members of the military community throughout the game.

Greek Night | Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. vs. Eastern Michigan
Greek Night will celebrate Oakland's Greek community with a night dedicated to fraternities and sororities. Greek organizations will have opportunities to showcase their groups and get involved with the game-day experience.
What's offered: Tabling opportunities, competitions and opportunities for fraternities and sororities to perform live during the game.
Superhero/Princess Day | Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. vs. IU Indy
Fans are invited to transform the O'rena into a world of superheroes and princesses for this family-friendly themed game. Fans are encouraged to dress up and join the Golden Grizzlies for a day filled with themed fun.
What's offered: Themed giveaways and an opportunity for fans to dress as their favorite superhero or princess.
Think Pink/Breast Cancer Awareness | Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. vs. Youngstown State
Oakland will come together to raise awareness for breast cancer and recognize those whose lives have been impacted by the disease. The Golden Grizzlies will celebrate survivors and thrivers while encouraging the Oakland community to show its support.
What's offered: Free admission for breast cancer survivors and thrivers, special in-game presentations recognizing survivors and thrivers, and a pink-themed game encouraging fans to wear pink.
Kids/Scouts Day | Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. vs. Milwaukee
Young fans and scouts are invited to join the Golden Grizzlies for Kids/Scouts Day. The game will provide an opportunity for Oakland to welcome the next generation of Golden Grizzlies fans to the Blacktop!
What's offered: Free admission for children 12 and under and discounted admission for Girl Scouts.
Golden Grizzlies Excellence/SAAC Night | Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. vs. Cleveland State
Oakland will celebrate excellence both on and off the court during Golden Grizzlies Excellence/SAAC Night. The evening will highlight the work of Oakland student-athletes and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
What's offered: Recognition of the Oakland SAAC Board and a special halftime presentation honoring student-athletes who have demonstrated academic excellence.
International Day | Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. vs. Northern Kentucky
International Day will celebrate Oakland University's diverse international community and highlight the experiences and contributions of international students.
What's offered: International-themed giveaways and special recognition of Oakland's international students.
Mental Health Awareness Day | Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. vs. Purdue Fort Wayne
Oakland will use Mental Health Awareness Day to promote conversations surrounding mental health and encourage fans and members of the Oakland community to prioritize their mental well-being.
What's offered: Mental health awareness-focused in-game content and activities designed to promote awareness and support.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation | Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. vs. Green Bay
Oakland will recognize the faculty and staff members who make an impact across the university during Faculty/Staff Appreciation. Golden Grizzlies student-athletes will have the opportunity to recognize the professors and staff members who have made a difference in their Oakland experience.
What's offered: Free admission for Oakland faculty and staff, a special halftime recognition and student-athlete nominations recognizing their favorite professors and staff members.
2K Night | Feb. 13 at 12 p.m. vs. Wright State
The Golden Grizzlies will bring basketball and gaming together for 2K Night. Fans can enjoy a game-day atmosphere inspired by the popular basketball video game series.
What's offered: Nintendo Switch giveaway, 2K-themed videos, music and additional game-day entertainment.
Girls and Women's Sports Day | Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. vs. Northern Illinois
Oakland will celebrate the impact of girls and women in sports during Girls and Women's Sports Day. The event will highlight the importance of creating opportunities for girls and women to participate, compete and succeed in athletics.
What's offered: Pregame clinic and special activities celebrating girls and women in sports. Additional event information will be announced at a later date.
Alumni Day | Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. vs. Detroit Mercy
Oakland will close its regular-season home schedule by celebrating the history and future of Golden Grizzlies women's basketball during Alumni Day. The game will also serve as Senior Day, giving fans the opportunity to recognize Oakland's graduating student-athletes.
What's offered: Free admission for Oakland women's basketball alumni, alumni recognition at halftime, a Gold Out and Senior Day festivities.
