ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland University women's basketball forward Lianna Baxter has been named to the Horizon League Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, the league office announced this week.
Baxter earns the prestigious honor after compiling a perfect 4.0 grade point average while continuing to make a major impact on the court for the Golden Grizzlies. A standout in the classroom and a cornerstone in Oakland's frontcourt, she exemplifies the true definition of a student-athlete.

On the hardwood, Baxter is averaging 8.4 points per game while leading the team with 5.2 rebounds per contest. She has also anchored Oakland defensively, averaging nearly one block per game and consistently protecting the rim against league opponents.
