ANN ARBOR, Mich. – After competing against some tough competition in the Wolverine Invitational over the weekend, the Oakland University women's golf team finished in 15th place with a total score of 941 (+89) after three rounds.
Olivia Hemmila finished on top for the Golden Grizzlies, tying for 42nd place with a final score of 228 (+15), staying consistent and improving after each round by one stroke. Behind her was Lily Bargamian, tying for 68th place with a score of 235 (+22). Bargamian had a great opening round, only shooting one-over-par and scored an eagle, one of only six for the entire invitational.
Paige Scott, Grace Boczar, and Channing Hagen wrapped up the scoring for Oakland, all staying consistent with one another. Scott had a final score of 241 (+28), Boczar with 245 (+32), and Hagen with 248 (+35).
The Wolverine Invitational, in its first year back since the 2021 fall season, had six teams participate that also competed in the 2025 NCAA Division I women's golf regionals, with Oakland being one of those teams. As back-to-back Horizon League Champions, this invitational was a preview of the similar competition they will face in the spring if they can complete the three-peat.
