GREENWOOD, Ind. — College Sports Communicators recently announced their 2025 Men's Soccer Academic All-District Teams, naming six Golden Grizzlies to the honors:
Abdul Al-Rashed, Gabe Baylon,
Andriy Bilous,
Mohammad Jamal Issa,
Julian Kanzler and
Cole Thompson.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the pitch and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
All six Golden Grizzlies served as veteran leaders for the program. Al-Rashed, Baylon and Bilous contributed heavily to Oakland's attacking effort, combining for nearly 3,400 minutes, with Bilous adding three goals and a team-high four assists. Jamal Issa and Kanzler anchored the defense for the Golden Grizzlies, while Thompson emerged as one of the league's top keepers, ranking in the top five in total saves and saves per game in conference play.
With their selections, the six honorees advance to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-America consideration, which will be announced later this season.
