MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Oakland University women's golf team wrapped up its fall season on Tuesday, finishing tenth at the Powercat Invitational held at the Colbert Hills Golf Club.

Junior Olivia Hemmila led the Golden Grizzlies for the fourth consecutive invitational, tying for 16th over the weekend. This finish marks her fourth top-20 finish of the season. Hemmila was the team leader in birdies, recording seven, and maintained an average of 5.08 strokes on par-5 holes.

Lily Bargamian finished in the top-30 with a final score of 238 (+22). During the first two rounds, she was among the top players on the leaderboard, tying for seventh overall in par-4 average with 4.18 strokes per hole.

Grace Boczar and Paige Scott again finished closely together at the end of play. Boczar tied for 58th with a score of 247, while Scott finished with one more stroke, tying for 61st. Logan Bentley rounded out the team, contributing to the first and third rounds of scoring. Channing Hagen competed as an individual, placing 81st.

Despite facing tough competition, the Golden Grizzlies held their ground during the first round, placing sixth overall. Hemmila and Bargamian both held spots in the top five during this round, with the team only six strokes away from third place at that point. The team returns home, aware of their potential against powerhouse teams when they return in the spring.

UP NEXT: The Golden Grizzlies will enter their offseason, but are scheduled to return in the spring. Their first competition will be in February at the Rio Verde Intercollegiate hosted by Western Michigan.
