Women's Basketball Lands Another Transfer with Forward Kylie Buckley

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies have stayed busy in the offseason, adding another piece to their team with transfer Kylie Buckley.

Buckley played her freshman season at Niagara University. A 6'1 forward, Buckley played 30 games for the Purple Eagles. The Livonia, N.Y. native scored a season-high 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting against Stonehill (11/19/23). The sophomore looks to help anchor a growing Oakland frontcourt to pair with an already dynamic backcourt, which added guard Cali Denson to its roster recently.

"I am really excited Kylie is joining the Golden Grizzly family. She plays the game the right way - extremely hard," said Oakland Head Coach Jeff Tungate. "Kylie averaged 26 points per game in high school and gained valuable experience as a freshman at Niagara, appearing in 30 games and shooting 57% from the floor.  She finishes well around the rim, is very good at driving the basketball, and has range to the three point line.  She is a great fit for our system and I look forward to having her on campus."
