INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Continuing to tear up Horizon League opponents, junior guard
Maddy Skorupski has been named the Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Skorupksi scored a career-high 29 points (11-of-20 FG), to go along with five steals, four rebounds, and the game sealing and-one bucket in an overtime win against Northern Kentucky.
Her top-notch performance helped Oakland stay undefeated in league play, while also marking her fourth game of 20+ points this season, and the seventh time she has reached three or more steals in a game.
The junior is picking up All-League buzz early, ranking third in points per game (17.2) and first in steals per game (3.3). She is the only player in the Horizon League averaging 15+ ppg and 2+ spg.
Skorupski looks to keep her momentum high as Oakland prepares for a matchup with Cleveland State on Friday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m.
