INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Oakland University Goalkeeper Michael Sly Jr. was named Defender of the Week by the Horizon League on Monday following a stalwart performance against Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday.

Sly faced 20 shots and grabbed five saves through the entire 90 minutes of play as the Golden Grizzlies tied the Mastodons in both team's Horizon League opener. Through the three games played, Sly has a save percentage of 83.3%.
