ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland University Volleyball team earned top marks in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Team Academic Award list.

The Golden Grizzlies were one of nine Horizon League programs to have a team grade point average of 3.30 out of the 215 Division I programs honored.

Oakland's season opener will be August 26-27 in Indianapolis, Indiana for the Top Dawg Challenge hosted by Butler.
