ROCHESTER, Mich. – Head coach Krista Rice and Oakland Volleyball are back on the road for another Horizon League series, as the Golden Grizzlies head to Robert Morris. Action kicks off Friday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m., followed by the series finale on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. Both matches are available to stream on ESPN+.
The Golden Grizzlies split their weekend series against IU Indy, opening with a thrilling 3-2 reverse sweep Friday night at the OU Credit Union O'rena. After dropping the first two sets, the Golden Grizzlies battled back to win three straight in extra points, highlighted by Molly Reck's program-record 31 kills on .364 hitting, along with 15 kills from Liv Hosford and 26 digs from Kalli Cook. Oakland was unable to carry the momentum into Saturday's rematch, falling 3-0 despite a strong effort that saw the Golden Grizzlies hold leads in both the second and third sets. Hosford led Oakland with 11 kills, while Reck added 10 kills and nine digs.

SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
Robert Morris enters the weekend with a 3-14 overall record and a 1-5 mark in Horizon League play. The Colonials have shown flashes throughout the season, earning three wins while competing in several tight matches, including a pair of five-set contests in the league. Offensively, Robert Morris is led by Lauren Decker, who has 233 kills and averages 4.04 kills per set, while Layla Todd and Keira Hornung have also provided consistent production. Kenlee Barnard has directed the offense with 616 assists, and Anahi Alvarado leads the team defensively with 189 digs. Hornung has also paced the Colonials at the net with 61 blocks. As a team, Robert Morris is averaging 11.9 kills, 15.0 digs and 1.6 blocks per set while hitting .163 on the season.
Oakland overwhelmingly leads the head-to-head series with the Colonials, 15-3. Last season in Moon Township, the Black and Gold took care of the home team with a pair of 3-1 and 3-2 matches.
