VOLLEYBALL FINALIZES 2022 SLATE

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Volleyball and Head Coach Krista Rice have released the 2022 regular season schedule with eleven home dates as the slate begins and ends with trips to Indianapolis, Indiana. 

The annual Black & Gold Scrimmage will take place Friday, August 19 before hosting NCAA Division II opponent Davenport in an exhibition on August 20 inside the Athletics Center O'rena. From there, it'll be the Top Dawg Challenge in Indianapolis as Butler will host Oakland along with Eastern Illinois and Akron on August 26-27.

Next is the Kent State Invitational to take on Southern Indiana to kickoff the three-game event on September 2 followed by a match with Cornell in the doubleheader day. OU will face Kent State to finish the invite on September 3.

The third multi-team event for Oakland will be September 9-10 in Memphis, Tennessee for the Beale Street Challenge for games against Illinois State, host Memphis, and Queens. Rounding out the non-conference slate is the Green & White Classic September 16-17 in East Lansing. Oakland will take on Michigan State, Evansville, and Chicago State.

The Horizon League schedule gets underway on Tuesday, September 20 on the road against Robert Morris before the Golden Grizzlies host Northern Kentucky and Wright State September 23-24. For two weekends, OU will once again be on the road against Youngstown State plus Cleveland State September 27 and October 1 along with a trek up north to Wisconsin against Green Bay and Milwaukee on October 7-8.

October 14 and 15 Oakland returns to the O'rena to do battle with IUPUI in the Dig for a Cure game and Purdue Fort Wayne ahead of another homestand against Youngstown State on October 18. One more time against Wright State and Northern Kentucky on October 21-22 precedes a four-game stretch in Rochester against Cleveland State and Robert Morris October 29 and November 1 as well as November 4-5 against Milwaukee and Green Bay.

The last regular season away games will take place starting on November 11 versus Purdue Fort Wayne before heading to Indianapolis once more to round out the season November 12 versus IUPUI.
