St. Simons Island, Ga. - Thomas Giroux has been named the 2022 Sea Palms Invitational champion after finishing three rounds with an impressive eight-under-par total. The Oakland team earned a fourth-place finish.

In his first tournament win of 2022, Giroux shot 67, 68, and 70 and wracked up 16 birdies. Yaroslav Ilyenko tied for 19th, finishing one-under-par in the final round and shooting 220 (+7) total. Owen Tucci tied for 64th with 229 (+16), while Colin Sikkenga and Anthony Comito tied for 81st with 223 (+20).

Oakland totaled 879 (+27) and finished only one stroke behind Marshall in third place. Compeiting

The team will take just over two weeks off of competition before heading to the ECU Intercollegiate Mar. 21-22.
