Oakland Returning Home From Xavier Invitational with a 7th Place Finish

ROCHESTER, Mich - The Oakland Men's Golf team finished in 7th place at the Xavier Invitational with a score of 885.

Following rounds of 294 and 295 in the first two rounds, the Golden Grizzlies finished with an eight-over-par round of 296 in tough conditions. Freshman Ellis Kinnaird led the squad with an impressive T-6 finish at even par.

Yaroslav Ilyenko finished at +4, for a top 20 finish, while Colin Sikkenga finished at T-34 at +8. Grant Tucker shot a final-round 74 to finish at +10, good enough for a 40th-place finish. Anthony Comito shot a final round76 to finish at +15 (T-54).

The Golden Grizzlies will tee it up next week, October 17-18 at the Dayton Fliers Invitational in Kettering, Ohio.
