
DAYTON, Ohio - Seth Tucker went 2-for-4 with a double and run scored while
Cam Post and
Michael Stygles each went 1-for-3 with a double as Oakland fell in the series opener at Dayton, 10-1, on Friday.
Lorenzo Elion also hit 2-for-4 while
Brenton Phillips accounted for an RBI off a fielder's choice.
Travis Densmore (1-2) picked up the loss on the mound for Oakland (4-4) going 3.0 innings with four strikeouts.
Trailing 5-0 in the seventh inning, Phillips reached on a fielder's choice to sending Tucker across to score the lone run of the inning to get on the board. The Golden Grizzlies were unable to get any closer, as Dayton added five runs to their tally on the way to a 10-1 final.
Both teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 6 beginning at noon.
