After NKU (4-10, 2-5 HL) took a 2-1 lead, Oakland offense exploded for six runs in the top of the third, highlighted by a three-run double off the bat of Phillips and a two-run home run from Trovinger, which brought the score to 7-2 in favor of the Golden Grizzlies.

Stygles added an RBI single followed by an RBI single from Post and a bases-loaded walk from Elion to score Miller.
