
ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland women's tennis team continues the non-conference slate with pair of road matches in Munice, Ind. beginning with Findlay on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4:30 p.m. followed by a match against host Ball State on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Muncie YMCA.

Notes:
- Ball State is the third school from the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Oakland has played this season. After dropping a hard fought 4-3 decision to Western Michigan, the Golden Grizzlies responded with a 5-2 road win over Akron and 6-1 home victory against Toledo.

- Against Toledo, Oakland took a 1-0 lead after earning the doubles point as the No. 2 tandem of
Darya Maltseva and
Alexandra Whall defeated Sloane Teske and Patty Panta, 7-5.
Nirva Patel and
Aarja Chakraborty also cruised to a 6-0 victory in the No. 3 slot over Zina Mehikic and Laura Moera. The Golden Grizzlies then won five of the six singles matches en route to their second consecutive win.

- After dropping the double point against Akron, Oakland answered as
Ava Thielman, Patel,
Victoria Kurz, Chakraborty and
Samantha Galloway won five of the six singles matches to secure the win.

- For the second consecutive season, Oakland was selected to finish third in the 2020 Horizon League women's tennis preseason poll. The Golden Grizzlies also received two first place votes.
