Biography

2019-20 (Remainder of season canceled due to COVID-19 Pandemic):
• Recorded a team-best 8-2 singles record at the No. 1 position
• Posted 5-4 overall doubles mark including going 5-3 with Victoria Kurz at the No. 1 spot
• Named Nike Horizon League Singles Player of the Week after going 3-1 at the No. 1 singles position helping Oakland to 7-0 wins over Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M. Her three wins all came in straight sets beginning with Bethune-Cookman’s Afrika Smith (6-0, 6-2) followed by defeating Stetson’s Danel Ashirova (6-4, 6-3) in the Golden Grizzlies hard-fought 4-3 setback to the Hatters. Thielman’s third win came over Florida A&M’s Haleigh Porter (6-0, 6-2). 

2018-19:
• Horizon League Player of the Year and First Team selection
• Became the first student-athlete in program history to earn conference player of the year and first team honors
• Recorded an 18-5 singles record, going 8-1 in league play, at the No. 1 spot
• Recorded a 9-10 doubles record with Darya Maltseva, going 2-4 in league play, at the No. 1 spot
• Won her singles match 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 against Detroit Mercy in the Horizon League Tournament to help Oakland win its first league tournament match in program history
• Named Nike Horizon League Singles Player of the Week twice on March 13 and April 23
• Her 18 singles wins is the most in Oakland's Division I era and most since the 1999-00 season
• Became the first tennis player in Oakland history to compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Masters event

2017-18 Michigan State:
• Finished with a 6-1 singles record and went 16-3 in doubles
• Tied for second on the team with the most doubles wins with 16.

Spring 2018 Michigan State: 
• Finished with a 12-9 doubles record in dual season
• Posted a 6-6 conference record at No. 3 doubles with partner Lexi Baylis, which was the most conference wins of any doubles pair
• Saw action in two singles matches and posted a victory against Grand Canyon (1/19).

Fall 2017 Michigan State: 
Singles
• Compiled a record of 6-1 in singles play
• Won her flight at the Wildcat Invite with a 4-0 mark
• Qualified for the main draw of the 2017 ITA Division I Women’s Midwest Regional Championship
• Went 2-0 at the Louisville Tennis Classic

Doubles
• Had a record of 4-3 in doubles
• Partnered with Aslina Chua at the Wildcat Invite to go 2-1 and the Midwest --Regional Championship, where the duo advanced to the Round of 32
• Partnered with Lexi Baylis at the Louisville Tennis Classic to go 1-1 on the tournament.
