
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Horizon League announced the 2019-20 women's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday. The Golden Grizzlies open league play with a Metro Series showdown at arch-rival Detroit Mercy (Dec. 28) followed by a road swing at IUPUI (Jan. 2) and UIC (Jan. 4) to ring in the new year. Additionally, all league games will be broadcast live on ESPN3 or ESPN+.
Oakland begins a four-game home stand against Green Bay (Jan. 9) followed by Milwaukee (Jan. 11), Youngstown State (Jan. 16) and Cleveland State (Jan. 18).
After a pair of road games at Northern Kentucky (Jan. 23) and defending Horizon League champion Wright State (Jan. 25), the Golden Grizzlies host Detroit Mercy (Feb. 1) in a rematch followed by UIC (Feb. 6) and IUPUI (Feb. 8).
Oakland then hits the road with four straight games starting at Milwaukee on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) and ending at YSU (Feb. 23). The Golden Grizzlies close out the regular season at home against Wright State (Feb. 27) and NKU (Feb. 29) for Senior Day.
The Horizon League Championships will begin on March 3-5 at campus sites with the semifinals and championship game held at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind. March 9-10.
