
ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland women's basketball team continues its seven-game road swing at Niagara on Monday, Nov. 25 at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast live from the Gallagher Center on ESPN3.

Series History: Oakland has won the last three consecutive meetings against Niagara and leads the overall series 7-3.
A look at the Purple Eagles: Niagara is 0-5 on the season and is led by senior Jai Moore (12.8 ppg) and freshman Adia Brisker (10.0 ppg) who also leads the team in rebounds (6.2).

Last Time Out: Kayla Luchenbach posted her first career double-double with a career-high 17 points while matching a career-best 10 rebounds as Oakland battled No. 15 Michigan State for three quarters before falling 76-56 on Tuesday night at the Breslin Center.
Jalisha Terry added 16 points with six rebounds and two assists.

Tungate Sidelined: Head Coach
Jeff Tungate will take a medical leave of absence to care for a recurring back issue. "Ten years ago, I had a botched spinal fusion. Issues from that surgery continue to flare up to the point where I need to go on medical leave once again," said Tungate. Associate Head Coach
Ke'Sha Blanton will serve as acting head coach until he returns. Last season, Tungate missed seven games due to the same condition. In his absence, the team went 2-5 with wins over arch-rival Detroit Mercy to complete the series sweep over the Titans and UIC.

Lights Out Luchenbach: Luchenbach shot 5-for-9 from the field and went 7-for-9 at the free throw line to post her first career double-double with a career-high 17 points while matching a career-best 10 rebounds as Oakland fell at No. 15 Michigan State. She has now reached double figures in three games this season with 14 points against Bradley and followed with 11 points helping Oakland to its first win of the season over Concordia. She ranks fifth in the league in field goal percentage (52.6).

Gouard named Horizon League Nike® Freshman of the Week: Sydney Gouard, a Danville, Ill. native, averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds while shooting a staggering 13-for-18 (72.2%) from the field, 3-for-5 from 3-point range (60%) and 6-for-6 (100%) from the free throw line helping Oakland go 2-0 for the week with wins over Concordia and Chicago State.

Against Concordia, Gouard recorded her first career double-double with a game and career-high 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting with a career-high 10 rebounds while adding three assists and two steals in the 76-42 win over the Cardinals. In Oakland's 98-70 win over Chicago State, she scored 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting while going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line with seven rebounds helping the Golden Grizzlies secure their second straight win.

Five for Five: Oakland placed five players in double figures led by Terry who poured in a game and career-high 21 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field and 3-for-5 from 3-point range followed by Gouard (15 pts),
Autumn Kissman (14 pts),
Brianna Breedy (career-high 13 pts) and
Alona Blackwell (12 pts) as the Golden Grizzlies toppled Chicago State, 98-70, en route to their second straight win.

Freshmen lead the way against Concordia: In addition to Gouard's 20 points, Blackwell added a career-high 15 points as the tandem combined for 35 of Oakland's 74 points in the win over Concordia.
