INDIANAPOLIS - The Oakland women's basketball team was selected to finish eighth in the 2019-20 Horizon League Preseason Poll, announced by the league office on Thursday and voted on by the league's 10 head coaches.
 
Defending Horizon League regular season and tournament champion Wright State was picked first along with Green Bay earning four first place votes and 91 points each. IUPUI was picked third with two first place votes and 85 points followed by Youngstown State and Milwaukee respectively to round out the top five.
 
Oakland opens the 2019-20 campaign against Bradley on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
