
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland women's basketball team concludes a six-game home stand with a Metro Series White Out game against arch-rival Detroit Mercy presented by Ascension Providence Rochester on Friday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live from the Blacktop at the O'rena on ESPN+ with Brad Golder on the call.

Last Time Out: Taylor Jones just missed a double-double scoring a game-high 17 points with nine rebounds along with six assists and three steals while
Autumn Kissman added a career-high 10 points going 4-for-4 from the free throw line with six rebounds as Oakland battled but fell to league leader Youngstown State, 69-55 (12/30).
At look at Titans: Detroit Mercy is 2-11 on the season and 0-2 in conference play after dropping a pair of games to Cleveland State and Youngstown State. The Titans are led by sophomore Lexey Tobel (11.9 ppg) followed by junior Zoey Oatis (9.2 ppg).
Series Breakdown: Last season, Oakland swept both games over UDM with the Titans still leading the all-time series 15-12.
Metro Series History: Oakland has won the Metro Series each of the past four seasons since its inception in 2014-15. Oakland currently leads this year's standings 6-2 after the conclusion of the fall sports competition with men's and women's soccer and cross country. Last season, the Golden Grizzlies won in dominating fashion with a 31-1 margin. In the event of a tie this year, Oakland will retain the cup.

Lockdown Defense: Against Rochester College, Oakland posted a season-best in steals (18) and opponent turnovers (30). On the season, the Golden Grizzlies have reached double digits in steals on five occasions while opponents have also committed 20 or more turnovers five times.
