
ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland women's basketball team opens a five-game league road swing at Wright State and Northern Kentucky. The Golden Grizzlies and Raiders tip off on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. followed by the Norse on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live from the Nutter Center and BB&T Arena on ESPN+ and ESPN3 respectively.
Scouting the Raiders: Wright State is 14-5 overall on the season and sits atop the Horizon League standings at 6-1 in conference play. The Raiders are led by junior Michal Miller (13.7 ppg) followed by senior Mackenzie Taylor (12.0 ppg) who rank sixth and ninth respectively in the league in scoring. Wright State leads the all-time series 12-1 with Oakland's last win coming on Feb. 11, 1989.
A look at the Norse: Northern Kentucky is 3-14 overall sitting in seventh place at 2-5 in conference just a game ahead of Oakland. The Norse are led by freshman Taylor Clos (9.6 ppg) and redshirt junior Molly Glick (8.9 ppg). Last season, Oakland split the season series against NKU and leads the all-time series 8-4.

Autumn Kissman poured in a career-high 16 points while shooting a career-best 8-for-12 from the field as Oakland fell 77-53 to visiting Green Bay on Childhood Cancer Awareness Day at the O'rena.
Dynamic Dean: Kahlaijah Dean has scored in double figures the last four consecutive games and poured in a career-high 20 points missing just one shot going 8-for-9 from the field and 4-for-5 from 3-point range in Oakland's 73-64 setback to Bradley (12/1).
Block Party: Oakland ranks second in the league in block shots (77) and blocked shots per game (4.3) which rank 57th and 66th respectively in the nation. Individually,
Mercy Agwaniru (1.2) leads the team and is fourth in the league while
Kayla Luchenbach (0.8) is tied for eighth and
Chloe Guingrich (0.6) is tied at 14th.
Grab and Go: The Golden Grizzlies lead the league in turnovers forced (17.6) and are tied for second in steals per game (8.80) with
Taylor Jones ranking fifth individually (1.7) followed by
Kahlaijah Dean in eighth (1.8).
Dropping Dimes: Oakland is fourth in the league in assists (13.30) while Jones is tied for fourth individually (4.0) followed by
Brianna Breedy who is 10th (2.8).
Pass/Protect the Rock: Breedy ranks second in conference in assist/turnover ratio (2.4) while the team is sixth in assist/turnover ratio (0.7) and fifth in turnover margin (-.50).
