Six Named to #HLBASE All-League Awards

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Six Golden Grizzlies earned 2026 Horizon League Baseball All-League Awards, naming Kyle Revere on the First Team, Ben Clark, Lucas Day, Ben Green, and Aidan Schuck on the Second Team, while Green and Josh Rosenblitt were named All-Freshman. Oakland sees the most student-athletes with postseason awards since 2024, and the most to a First or Second Team since 2002.

Revere, who joined the Golden Grizzlies after four seasons at Madonna, led Oakland with eight home runs this season, batting .296 overall with 60 hits and 32 RBIs. He was 11-for-12 in stealing bases and slugged .474 from the plate in conference games. The Sterling Heights native worked with a .973 fielding percentage at shortstop all year, accumulating 139 assists on defense. Outside of league games, Revere was 4-for-5 in OU's win at Michigan, and 3-for-6 in their victory at Michigan State.

Starting at catcher and moving into the leadoff designated hitter spot, Clark leads the Black and Gold, slashing .354/.432/.524 at the plate with 67 hits and 27 RBIs. He's tabbed 23 extra base hits, including four home runs, totaling 99 bases. The New Albany, Ohio native was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate against Akron this season, scoring five runs, two RBIs, and a home run against the Zips in May.

Over at first base, Day worked with a .992 fielding rate, and was only charged with a single error in League games this year. The redshirt-sophomore led Oakland batting .353/.389/.518 in Horizon League games. He has picked up 45 hits overall, bringing in 27 RBIs and slugged 16 extra-base hits including five home runs across the year. Owning 10 multi-hit games this season, Day had 3-for-5 and 4-for-6 outings at the plate against Youngstown State and Milwaukee in 2026.

Leading the Oakland pitching staff, the freshman Green sports a 5.88 ERA in 12 appearances this season, picking up 10 starts on the bump. Across 49.0 innings, Green leads the OU bullpen with 36 strikeouts, including a career-high seven K's against Youngstown State in April. Owning a low 1.63 WHIP, the right-hander picked up his first career win against Northern Kentucky on March 22.

Behind the plate for most of the season, Schuck led the Horizon League in runners caught stealing, throwing down for 16 outs at the dish. On offense, the Canton native hit .277 at the plate, totaling 49 hits and 31 RBIs, while scoring 24 runs of his own. He hit 12 extra-base hits, including two home runs, and had a perfect 3-for-3 day in the batter's box against Notre Dame, adding to his 14 multi-hit games of the season.

Finally, the freshman right-hander Rosenblitt owns a 5.40 ERA in League games and struck out 12 at the plate. Starting off in relief from the bullpen, to midweek starts and making his way to the weekend rotation, the Beachwood, Ohio native totaled 17 strikeouts in 2026, sporting a 1-4 record with his first career win transpiring against Toledo in early April, only giving up a lone earned run to the Rockets. In his second career Saturday start, Rosenblitt tossed a career-high six strikeouts to Wright State, giving up two earned runs in a tight pitcher's duel.

The Golden Grizzlies are back on the diamond to face No. 4-seed Youngstown State in the first round of the Horizon League Baseball Tournament in Dayton, Ohio. First pitch is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20 at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
