UTICA, Mich. – Former Oakland baseball standout Kyle Revere added another accolade to his growing résumé, earning United Shore Professional Baseball League (USPBL) Defensive Player of the Year honors following his first professional season with the Westside Woolly Mammoths.

Revere established himself as one of the USPBL's top defensive shortstops while helping the Woolly Mammoths to a 2026 campaign that included 47 games through the USPBL Championship on Sept. 13. He recorded 83 assists and 40 putouts with just three errors, posting a .976 fielding percentage at shortstop.

Offensively, Revere appeared in 38 games and made 150 plate appearances, collecting 32 hits, 17 runs, eight doubles, one triple, one home run and 19 RBI. He also drew 23 walks and went a perfect 9-for-9 on stolen-base attempts.

The award comes after a decorated 2026 season at Oakland, where Revere earned Horizon League All-League First Team and All-Tournament honors while appearing in all 54 games. The shortstop finished the season with 64 hits, 35 runs, 33 RBI and 24 walks in 219 plate appearances, posting a .292/.376/.457 slash line with 12 doubles.

Revere led the Golden Grizzlies with eight home runs and 13 stolen bases while anchoring the Oakland infield at shortstop. He finished with a team-best 151 fielding assists and added 82 putouts, as he was named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watchlist early in the season – named to the nation's top collegiate shortstops.
