GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Oakland University baseball team earned the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) Academic Excellence Award presented by Sports Attack, the coaches' organization announced today. This is the fifth straight year the Golden Grizzlies have won the team award since its inception in 2016.

The award recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. The Golden Grizzlies joined nearly 500 collegiate programs that were recognized with this year's award, including more than 100 Division I programs and two other Horizon League teams.

The Black and Gold saw 14 student-athletes with 3.5 GPAs or higher in the spring, including two 4.0's.
