INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The trio of grad senior Carter Hain, sophomore Andrew Landis, and senior Tanner Ware were tabbed to the 2026 Valeo Horizon League All-Academic Honorable Mention team on Tuesday, the league announced.
Hain, a graduate student from Phoenix, has started at second base in 47 games this season, hitting .266 with 45 hits, 17 RBIs and six home runs. He graduated from Oakland with a master's in business leadership, sporting a 3.60 GPA, and was a Fall 2025 member of Oakland's Dean's List and the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
Landis is a pre-business administration major with a 3.88 GPA, earning a spot on the Dean's List and Horizon League Academic Honor roll last semester. As a two-way player, he owns five hits with RBIs and tossed 13 strikeouts from the mound.
Ware graduated from OU with a degree in exercise science this semester, has been a two-time President's and three-time Dean's List member at Oakland, and been on the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll five times in his career. This season, he's pitched 35.1 innings with 23 strikeouts and a win and earned Horizon League Pitcher of the Week for his Sunday performance against Youngstown State in March.
