Women's Basketball Signs Mallory Ramage

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland University Women's Basketball announced its first transfer signing of the offseason, welcoming guard Mallory Ramage to Rochester.

"I am thrilled to welcome Mallory to OU. Having had the opportunity to coach her in the past, I've seen firsthand the tremendous impact she can have on a team," said Oakland Head Coach Keisha Newell. "She is an elite scorer, totaling more than 2,000 points in high school and 400+ points this past season at Lewis. In addition to her offensive ability, she will make an immediate impact defensively, as her length and strength allow her to guard multiple positions."

A native of Mattoon, Illinois, Ramage is a well-established collegiate player with multiple ties to Oakland Head Coach Keisha Newell. Ramage spent the 2025–26 season at Lewis University, where Coach Newell previously coached before arriving at Oakland.

For the Flyers, Ramage started and played in all 30 games, averaging a team-high 14.6 points per game while shooting .439 from the field and .341 from three. She tallied eight games with 20 or more points, along with seven games of six or more rebounds. She ended the season by being named to the All-GLVC First Team, capping a dominant junior season at the Division II level.

The 5'10" guard also spent two seasons at Loyola Chicago, Coach Newell's alma mater. With the Ramblers, Ramage played in 57 games over two seasons, making six starts, scoring 125 points, and shooting .842 from the free-throw line.

"Mallory is not only a phenomenal player, but also a person of high character who elevates those around her," added Newell. "Her work ethic, consistency, and competitive spirit set her apart, and we look forward to the difference she will make both on and off the court."

Her dominance dates back to her high school career at Mattoon High School, where she lettered all four years and set the single-game (43), single-season (839), and career (2,846) scoring records. She also earned All-State honors, was named First Team All-Apollo Conference all four years, and was named WCIA and Herald & Review Player of the Year.

Ramage brings size, experience, and explosive offensive ability to the Oakland backcourt, adding depth to what is already one of the top groups of guards in the Horizon League. Her addition is another step in the elevation of the program, spearheaded by Coach Newell as she heads into her second season at the helm.
