ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies prepare for another week of in-state matchups as they kick off a seven-game home stretch, featuring a pair of series against Lawrence Tech and Detroit Mercy.
Oakland is on the heels of a series win against IU Indy, taking two of three games from the Jags. The Golden Grizzlies saw dominant performances at the plate from
Brooklyn Plitz (7-for-13),
Maggie Murphy (5-for-7), and
Addison Caldwell (5-for-9), all of whom are in the midst of impressive hitting streaks.
Oakland is set up for success during this long stretch at home, boasting a 12-1 record. That mark has helped propel the team to second place in the Horizon League with a 5-4 conference record.

Oakland and the Blue Devils will face off for the third and fourth times in program history, with the Golden Grizzlies winning both previous meetings. In last season's matchups, Oakland outscored LTU 15-7.
The Blue Devils enter the game with a 21-11 record, having won back-to-back games against Cleary on Apr. 11.

Oakland will open a key metro series matchup with a single game at 3 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 17, followed by a series-closing doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 18 beginning at 12 p.m. The Golden Grizzlies look to bounce back against the Titans after losing the series last season for the first time since 2019.
Detroit Mercy enters the week at 13-22 (5-4 HL), sitting just one spot behind Oakland in third place in the conference standings.
Despite owning the lowest team batting average in the conference at .248, the Titans rely on their power, ranking third in home runs with 26. Hannah Schlachter and Savannah Schultz each have five homers on the season.
Oakland may not match the Titans in home runs, but they lead the conference with 14 triples, five more than the next closest team.
