ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland Softball's Maggie Murphy has been named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Great Lakes All-Region Third Team, as announced by the organization.

Murphy put together a standout season for the Golden Grizzlies as Oakland's designated player, earning Horizon League All-League First Team honors in addition to her regional recognition.

The graduate student was one of Oakland's top offensive threats throughout the season, batting .455 with a 1.420 OPS. Murphy totaled 46 hits, including 12 doubles, four triples, and eight home runs, while driving in 35 RBIs.

Murphy consistently delivered at the plate for the Golden Grizzlies, ranking among the Horizon League's top hitters in multiple offensive categories while helping lead Oakland throughout the 2026 campaign.

The NFCA All-Region teams recognize the top student-athletes across the nation, with honorees selected by NFCA member coaches from each respective region.
