YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -The Golden Grizzlies fell to Robert Morris in what would ultimately be their final game of the season, by a final score of 7–3. The Golden Grizzlies tallied an impressive 11 hits, surpassing their season average of 8.67, including a home run, but was unable to overcome RMU's four home runs in the matchup.
RMU struck fast as Eloise Facher's solo home run put RMU on the board in the first inning giving RMU a 1–0 at the end of the first.
In the third inning, RMU extended its lead as Facher hit another solo home run, and Mary Brant followed with a two-run shot. Sequoia Dunlap added an RBI double, pushing the score to 5-0 after three innings.
Brant hit another home run in the fourth inning, a two-run shot that increased RMU's advantage. Oakland trailed 7–0 at the end of the fourth.
Oakland responded in the fifth inning as
Brooklyn Plitz doubled and scored on an error, and
Maggie Murphy hit a two-run home run, narrowing the gap. After five innings, the score was 7-3 in favor of RMU.
The score remained unchanged in the final two innings, concluding the game with RMU defeating the Golden Grizzlies 7-3.
Murphy led the offensive effort, recording two RBIs and hitting a home run. Plitz contributed with two doubles in her two-hit performance.
Addison Caldwell added two hits and drew a walk, scoring once.
Taylor Carraway also finished with two hits, bolstering the team's hitting lineup.
