DAYTON, Oh. - The Horizon League announced their 2025 #HLBASE All-Tournament Team, naming Oakland's John Lauinger and Hunter Pidek to the team.

The pair of seniors helped propel he Golden Grizzlies' postseason run that fell just one game short of the championship game.

Pidek had a performance of a lifetime in his first and only appearance, going a full nine innings while striking out eight batters and allowing just two runs as Oakland beat Youngstown State 13-2 in their opening game of the tournament. His ability to go the full distance allowed the Golden Grizzlies to preserve their bullpen, and be in great shape for the rest of their run.

Lauinger closed his career with an incredible stretch in the championship, going 7-for-16 (.438 BA) with seven runs scored, five RBI, four stolen bases, and one double and a home run in four games. He began the championship with a 3-for-5, two runs scored, performance in a 13-2 win over Youngstown State. He closed the championship with a pair of two-hit performances, going 2-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBI as Oakland sent the Penguins home (5/22) and a 2-for-3 game against Northern Kentucky (5/23), hitting his second home run of the season with a double in Oakland's last game.
