Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – In their only match of the weekend, the Golden Grizzlies come up short in their match against MAC opponent, Bowling Green. Bowling Green edged Oakland in a competitive matchup, securing a 6-1 victory on the road.

In doubles play, Josie Ward and Nisa Bulut picked up a win for the Golden Grizzlies with a hard-fought 6-4 decision at No. 3 doubles. However, Bowling Green clinched the doubles point with victories at the top two spots.

Oakland's lone singles victory came from Warisara "Best" Lee, who dominated her No. 4 singles match with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Despite strong efforts from Emilia Jarvinen and Nisa Bulut, both pushing their opponents to three sets, the Falcons secured wins in five of the six singles matches to seal the overall victory.

Oakland will look to bounce back in their next matchup as they continue non-conference play against Wayne State this Sunday, March 23, at 11:00 am.
