ROCHESTER, Mich. -  The Golden Grizzlies head back on the road for one last series before their home opener as they head to a conference matchup in Robert Morris University.

The Golden Grizzlies hit some bumps in the road last weekend, going 1-4 in the Ohio state tournament, but with league play upon us, the two teams sit very close in the league standings, Although no league games have been played. Oakland is as ready as ever to begin their push back to the top of the league rankings.

The Golden Grizzlies look to keep the bats rolling as they already have 5 players with already over 10 hits on the season with four players having over a .300 batting average. 

Madi Herrington, Reese Ruhlman, Mia Konyvka, and Taylor Carraway also had flashes of hot spurts at the plate over this last weekend with accumulating 4 of 6 home runs on the season for Oakland. 

Scouting the Colonials 

In their final away game stretch to begin the season before their home opener, Oakland will take on the Colonials On Mar. 13 at 3 p.m., and a doubleheader on Mar. 14 beginning at 1 p.m. 

Robert Morris is 4-8 (0-0 HL) to start the year off with ranking 2nd in the horizon league. As of right now, they sit at the top of the Horizon league for hitting with a .281 team batting average with 5 players over a batting average of .300, but they also have the worst team era average in the league sitting at a 8.40 team ERA.

Courtney Poulich, junior outfielder at Robert Morris is ranked #1 in homeruns on the season so far hitting 4 home runs in just 12 games.
