ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Women's Tennis team hits the road again to face off against Niagara and the University of Buffalo. The Golden Grizzlies look to build momentum as they continue non-conference play.
Oakland will first battle Niagara (0-5), a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponent, on Friday. The Purple Eagles are looking for their first win of the spring, making for a competitive match-up. In their match-up last season, the Golden Grizzlies took the win 5-2. Overall, Oakland and Niagara are tied in all-time match-ups at 2-2.
On Saturday, the Golden Grizzlies will square off against Buffalo (6-0), a formidable Mid-American Conference (MAC) team. The Bulls have been a consistent force in the MAC, providing Oakland with a tough test on the road. The last time these squads faced each other, the Bulls won 6-1. The Golden Grizzlies are poised to change the script this season behind
Emilia Jarvinen,
Edie Hammond, and Warisara "Best" Lee.
The Golden Grizzlies will face off against Niagara Friday at 3 p.m. and will continue Saturday, taking on the Buffs at noon.
