Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland women's tennis opened up the spring season with a split on the weekend with a win in Niagra University 5-2 and a loss at the University at Buffalo 1-6.
This win in New York marks coach David Brown's first ever win at the NCAA Division 1 collegiate level at his alma mater, respectively. Freshman
Emilia Jarvinen recorded two individual wins on the weekend with sweeping both her singles matchup's against Niagra and Buffalo. Teammates

Edie Hammond, and
Aya Orenstain all tabbed singles wins against Niagra to secure the win on Friday afternoon.
Emma Hultqvist and Popma stuck together to ring out a doubles win (6,1) over Niagra, and Hammond and Jarvinen stacked another pair win as they took the 2-6 on the court.
