Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – Oakland University Softball concluded its annual Spring Break road swing with a 3-2 win against Penn University in extra innings on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Florida Atlantic University.

Allisa DiPrima started the game off with her second double of the year and then crossed home as the Quakers committed an error in right field for the 1-0 lead.

The Quakers' sac fly to the glove of Makayla Jauregui in left field knotted the game up at 1-1 before Reese Ruhlman's single up the middle saw Maci Brown cross home plate as the Golden Grizzlies went up 2-1. 

Penn would tie the ballgame up with a home run to left field at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth.

Madi Herrington's sac fly to center field put up an RBI on the scoresheet for the sophomore gave Johnston the greenlight to head home and score the winning run from third.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Herrington finished the day 2-4 at the plate with an RBI while Brown and DiPrima registered two runs to their credit
• DiPrima batted her second triple of the year, this would put the White Lake native in a tie for 15th in the country in triples per game through 10 games played
• Kamryn Troyer also threw in her second double of the year

Oakland will be off for a week before hitting #HLSB play against IUPUI in Indianapolis from March 17-18.
