ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland Golden Grizzlies baseball squad officially announced its schedule ahead of the 2024 season.

Since the team made the jump to Division I in 1998, the Golden Grizzlies are coming off its best two seasons in program history. In its last two seasons, the team has accumulated 60 wins for most in a two-year span. Among those 60 were 40 Horizon League wins, which included the conference tournament, as the team has made it to the championship game both years.

The Golden Grizzlies will take part in 56 regular season games which spans from February to May. Oakland will open up its season Friday, Feb. 16 in Moraga, Calif., with a three-game series against Saint Mary's.

Included in those 56 are 22 home games that will take place on the Oakland Baseball field, with 15 of those being conference matches. In between its conference games, the Golden Grizzlies play a handful of games against MAC schools, along with a meeting against Michigan State in East Lansing (March 27).

After it opens the season in California, the Golden Grizzlies will stay on the road until its first home tilt March 12 against Rochester University as Oakland will travel to Kentucky, Ohio, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Texas for its longest road stretch of the season (14 games). The Golden Grizzlies' longest home stretch comes twice, once in April (12-23) and in May (3-14) before it ends its regular season on the road at Purdue Fort Wayne.

At a location still to be determined, the 2024 Horizon League Championship will be held from May 22-25.
