INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Oakland University redshirt sophomore Sydney Campbell was named Nike #HLSB Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season following her performances in the circle last week at home against Youngstown State and Robert Morris.

After a 2-1 record week for Campbell, she allowed only two hits in the critical wins over Youngstown State before allowing 12 against the Colonials last weekend as the Golden Grizzlies took its second conference series loss. Through five games, Campbell struck out 17 batters.

Campbell now has a 1.77 ERA through her 33 appearances as the 60th-best pitcher in NCAA Division I with a conference-only ERA of 1.00. The LaGrange, Ohio native is first overall in the Horizon League, earning her second Pitcher of the Week title this season.

Oakland will be at home one final day on Wednesday, May 4 at Noon for a double header with IUPUI at the Oakland Softball Field.
