About the Norse
In their 51 seasons as a program, Northern Kentucky has only had three head coaches, with Bill Aker serving in the role for 29 seasons from 1972-2000 and Todd Asalon for 21 seasons from 2001-21.

Following Asalon's June 2021 retirement, Dizzy Peyton, an assistant coach under him for 17 seasons and a former Norse pitcher, was promoted and is currently in his first season.

Due to their proximity to Ohio, the Norse fill out their roster with many players from the Buckeye State, including junior third baseman Manny Vorhees, their leadoff hitter and one of only two players to start all 43 games.

Vorhees leads the club with a .308 batting average (53-for-172) and is tied with senior first baseman/designated hitter Ryan Glass and redshirt junior right fielder Treyvin Moss for the most doubles on the team with 15.

In the stolen base department, Moss and senior center fielder Griffin Kain pace Northern Kentucky with eight apiece.

Out of the bullpen, graduate student Bryson Lonsbury, freshman Andrew Mulhern, and junior Michael Bohlen have been the top options for Peyton, combining to make 51 relief appearances.
