NOTRE DAME AND OAKLAND TO MEET ON THE TENNIS COURT

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Tennis is on the road against Notre Dame for its next match on Sunday, April 10 for a 5:00 p.m. serve in South Bend, Indiana.

Liza Mladentseva is coming off a perfect weekend, going 4-0 in each of her matches as the Golden Grizzlies fell to 0-2 in conference play after suffering losses to Cleveland State and Youngstown State last weekend.

The Samara, Russia native sits at 7-4 on the season, 6-3 overall when it comes to playing in the number one singles spot after downing her opponents last week 6-2, 7-5 and 6-2, 6-2 respectively. Mia Melnizki holds a 6-4 record competing at both the number five and six singles spots while Tegan Heaton is a perfect 6-6 when playing either at four or five.

At 8-2 on the year, the duo of Nirva Patel and Yasmin Glazbrook have owned the number one doubles spot while Mladentseva and Jillian Milano are holding down the number two slot at 4-1 on the year as a combo.

The Fighting Irish's number one-two singles player, Page Freeman, currently holds a 10-4 record, 4-2 at one and 6-2 at two, while Maria Olivia Castedo and Julia Andreach boast marks of 8-4 and 7-5, respectively, in 12 matches.

The top doubles team for ND is at 5-1 between Castedo and Freeman at 5-1 on the year as the home team sits at 23-13 in doubles overall this 2022 spring campaign.

Sunday's match is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. serve at the Eck Tennis Pavilion in South Bend, Indiana.
