Indianapolis, Ind. – Announced by the conference on Tuesday, April 5, Oakland graduate student second baseman Brad Goulet was named the Nike #HLBASE Batter of the Week.

Goulet received the honor for collecting at least one hit in all five games the Golden Grizzlies played from March 29-April 3, including multiple knocks in four of those contests.

During this five-game stretch, in which Oakland went 4-1, the Cottage Grove, Minn. native hit .500 (11-22) with two doubles, a home run, five RBI, nine runs, and four stolen bases.

In his first year with the Golden Grizzlies after transferring from the Mid-American Conference's (MAC) Akron Zips, Goulet ranks second on the team in batting average (.312) and RBI (20) while leading the squad in hits (34) through 27 games.

He becomes the second Oakland player to take home the Nike #HLBASE Batter of the Week title in 2022, joining junior designated hitter Ian Cleary, who captured the March 9 award.
