Fort Wayne, Ind. – Completing both a five-game road swing and their season series against the Mastodons, the Golden Grizzlies will square off with Purdue Fort Wayne in a Sunday, April 24 doubleheader.
Utilizing the traditional twinbill format, the first game will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the second at approximately 2:30 p.m.
While just 12-24 overall, the Mastodons will enter Sunday in third-place in the Horizon League with a 9-8 conference record. Oakland, who owns a 17-20 overall record, is right on their heels at 7-7, tied with Youngstown State for fourth in the league.
The Golden Grizzlies previously took two of a three-game set between the two programs in Rochester on March 25 and 26.
All-time record against Purdue Fort Wayne
Dating to their first meeting on April 17, 2009, these two programs have been about as even as can be, with the Mastodons holding a one-game edge, 17-16, in the all-time series.
With the two wins earlier this season mentioned above, Oakland has won five of the last six and has a chance to re-take the all-time lead with a sweep Sunday.

Redshirt senior Brian Skelton, freshman Braxton Wilson, and junior Kyle Maurer, all of whom are righties, have been third-year head coach Doug Schreiber's most used options out of the bullpen, combining to make 30 appearances.
Junior catcher Cade Fitzpatrick, who began his collegiate career in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) with the Ball State Cardinals, is Purdue Fort Wayne's leading hitter, boasting a .339/.395/.606 slash line.
Graduate student third baseman Jack Lang and junior left fielder Ben Higgins are tied with Fitzpatrick for the team lead in home runs with seven.
Lang has been a menace on the base paths, too, swiping a team-high nine bags in 11 attempts.
