ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Tennis will conclude the 2022 regular season with a pair of Horizon League matches against Milwukee and UIC on April 23 and 24 in Milwaukee and Chicago this weekend.

The Golden Grizzlies now sit fourth in the Horizon League standings following two home match wins over the Jaguars and Norse last weekend. Oakland is 3-7 all-time against Milwaukee, 1-7 all-time versus UIC as the team enters the final regular season weekend. 

Liza Mladentseva is now 8-4 at the number one singles spot, 9-5 overall after falling 7-5, 6-4 last weekend against Northern Kentucky. Jilian Milano rides a two-win streak at number four singles winning in three sets against her opponent from IUPUI and in two sets against NKU. 

Yasmin Glazbrook and Nirva Patel helped Oakland to best their opponents last weekend at the number one position as the duo is now 8-3 on the year as Mladentseva and Milano have won six in a row, 6-1 overall at the number two spot.

SCOUTING REPORT

MILWAUKEE

The best duo for Milwaukee is Greta Carbone and Iva Stejskalova with a whopping 11-4 record, through 0-1 in the conference, at the number one doubles spot.

Mayya Perova is 15-3 overall on the year at the number one position in singles with a number two record of 9-2 as well. Avery Durham is next for the Panthers with a 9-7 mark spanning from spots three to six  while Anika Tylek is 8-6 overall from four to six.

UIC

Agnes Gustafsson and Ana Jover have dominated the number one position in doubles with a 15-3 overall mark, 2-0 in the conference riding an eight-game winning streak going into the weekend. 

Gustafsson and Jover also hold the Flames' best singles records at 19-5 and 16-5 overall, respectively, with Dominika Hrabolova just behind at 14-7 and Lea Forste-Dinell at 10-9 across all positions for the third-place UIC team.
