INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Madison Jones and Sydney Campbell's performances this past week netted a sweep for Oakland University Softball for the first time as the Horizon League announced its weekly Nike #HLSB Players of the Week on Tuesday.

Starting against Michigan State, Jones went 3-4 from the plate with four runs, a double, and a home run with three RBI as the Golden Grizzlies defeated the Spartans in East Lansing 10-5 for the first time since 2011. Jones then combined to go 4-9 in the weekend's sweep of Detroit Mercy with six runs, another double, and her fifth home run of the season to lead the team. This is Jones' second honor this season.

Campbell drew up a career-high 11 strikeouts in the first game of the three-game series against the Titans on Saturday to post a 0.56 earned run average with the 2-0 credit in both her starts. Campbell restricted Detroit Mercy to 13 hits, two runs, and a single walk with 14 combined strikeouts in two games.

Oakland will battle with the Flames of UIC on April 15-16 in Chicago in a rematch of the 2021 Horizon League Tournament Championship.
