Yasmin Glazbrook and
Nirva Patel won 6-4, and teammates
Liza Mladentseva Jillian Milano earned the 6-3 win in the no. 2 match-up.
Oakland controlled singles play, winning all six matches en route to a 7-0 win over the Lakers (3-4).
Mladentseva paced the Golden Grizzlies in the no. 1 spot (6-1, 6-1). Glazbrook recorded a dominating 6-1, 6-0 win in no. 2 singles, while Patek secured a 6-1, 6-4 victory in the no. 3 spot. Milano (6-2, 6-0),
Tegan Heaton (6-2, 6-2) and
Mia Melnizki (6-1, 6-4) all won in their respective spots for the Golden Grizzlies.
Heaton's win marks her eighth-straight singles win for the freshman.
Oakland's win on Saturday marked its third-straight and sixth win in seven matches.
Oakland will face off in one more non-conference match-up in Valparaiso, Sunday March 27 before opening up Horizon League play.
