INDIANAPOLIS – Oakland's Yasmin Glazbrook and Nirva Patel have been named Nike Horizon League Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week the conference office announced Thursday.
 
The duo of Glazbrook and Patel went a perfect 4-0 in no. 1 doubles on the week, helping the Golden Grizzlies to a 3-1 record in their annual Florida trip. The Golden Grizzlies defeated Bethune-Cookman (6-1), University of Mary (6-1) and Eastern Michigan (5-2), before ultimately falling to Augustana University, 4-3. The pair was instrumental in securing the doubles point for the Black and Gold, defeating the competition, 6-2. Glazbrook and Patel went on to earn the 6-1 no. 1 singles win the next day over University of Mary. Oakland then took down MAC foe Eastern Michigan for just the second time in program history, as the no. 1 doubles team recorded a 6-4 win over the Eagles. Despite falling to Augustana, Glazbrook and Patel won their match, 7-5 at no. 1 doubles.
 
The Golden Grizzlies are back in action Sunday, March 13 as they travel to Chicago State to take on the Cougars at 9 a.m.
